Denise is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and Registered Nurse with over 23 years of experience in maternal child health, including labor and delivery, postpartum, and lactation. She became IBCLC certified in 2008.

Denise is a proud mother of four children, all welcomed at the North Shore Birth Center.

She was deeply influenced by the extraordinary care she received from her midwives- an experience that inspired her passion for supporting mothers and babies. She also understands first hand the joys and potential struggles of breastfeeding. When Denise faced early breastfeeding challenges with her first child, the encouragement and guidance she received from La Leche League made a lasting impact. That experience solidified her commitment to providing the same compassionate care to new families.

Denise believes it takes a village to support new families, and that expert, compassionate lactation care is an important part of this support. She understands that every feeding journey is unique, and is dedicated to supporting breastfeeding and chestfeeding parents, partners, and families on this very special journey.

Denise maintains active membership in professional lactation organizations and regularly participates in continuing education, ensuring families receive knowledgeable and evidence -based guidance.
